well, i was going to vent about talk about how annoying it is when all people talk about is themselves and how awesome they, themselves, are and how "hot" they are...it's so freakin' annoying and i want to slap them in the face and tell'em to get over themselves. i think it can be like the lowest self esteem there is. i struggle with self esteem, but don't feel the need to strut around and boast about myself to hide my insecurities...i'm not great...i have struggles, pains, etc. everyone does. i pray i never become one of those people...i don't really care if people don't like me, i'm not going to change who i am to make someone like me. it's really really annoying to anyone near one of those people, i have had a person in my life like that...probably more, i dont' know how i handled it for as long as i did and i then i got hurt by the same person....(i wish i could warn you...) ok so i surprise myself a lot. anyways...sorry, all that's real tho, like it or not.

so, yea i was going to vent on that...haha, but then i realized it's my 600th post!!!

just getting wedding details finalized...i can't believe it's in like a month!!!!!!!!! i can't wait...i really can't wait till the wedding day, but i can't wait even more for the marriage...i'm marrying a great, strong, honest, real man!!! a little quirky at times, but love him all the same, and more!

the newspaper here in Rochester is doing a story about mike and i. haha. a love story!! apparently the writer goes to my church and picked us to write the story about. it'll be interesting. I'll let ya know when it's going to be in print...I'll be selling autographed copies for purchase...haha (see section above about boasting...) haha. j/k.

So anyways, thought I would write about other things besides the wedding stuff...things are ok here. the tribal warfare thing is going on at youth on wednesday nights, it's fun, i'll post some pics. last night was the picture sacavenger(sp?) hunt. pretty fun. it'll be a fun summer doing that. honestly not alot going on right now...even w/ wedding stuff...can't really do anything until the day approaches a little closer. looking at options right now. rochester, the cities, etc. i'm really wanting "change" in my life...i suppose getting married is probably one of the biggest changes, but it's not till a month and a half or so. so I guess i'll just be re-arranging my apt. a lot. ha.

I've been reading in Ephesians lately, it's crazy how you read things over and over and it never really "clicks"... well the first couple chapters in Eph. is clicking to me. i pray i never take God's grace for granted...but sometimes it's just too easy to do...

Update.

So...update time...

since the engagement (April 17, 2007)
I have bought my dress, we have found/bought bridemaids dresses, the guys outfits, decided on the ceremony and reception site, reserved the JAZZ band that is playing at the reception (can't wait!!!) sent out invites (TODAY! 6/2/07) picked florist, photographers, registered, blocked hotel rooms for out-of-towners, had my personal shower (3 showers to go), chose honeymoon, did newspaper announcements (post bulletin and stevens Pt. journal), chose menu, met w/ wedding coordinator at church, had the first dress fitting...and a few other things...i feel pretty good about everything...some stressful areas, but over all, can't wait to get married to the most wonderful man in the entire world!!

Mike works at a car auto shop and is going to school in the fall for Auto Mechanics and i will continue to work at Flowers by Jerry and at Rochester A/G Church as the worship leader.

so i'm at home for the weekend in Point, w/ Mike. just felt like going home and get my dog back. i'm all settled in to my new place by myself and i'm lovin' it...it's just lonely w/o my dog there. so anyways, just a weekend to chill, not do anything, i saw friends last night, people i haven't see in like almost 5 years...brock, shane, justin. i love those guys. ha. hopefully today i'll be seeing sherrie link, if brock calls me. and maybe brock's parents. it's been so long. besides that not much going on. just chillin. k, i think i'm goin to wake up and go get coffee. peace.

well, well, well.....i'm back...it's been a long time. a lot has happened in the last however many months since last time i wrote. so here goes.

well, to start. i've gotten my own place as of Feb. 14th. in a small town north of rochester about 15 mins. all by myself. i love it. i miss my dog though, she'll be with me in a few weeks. my place is small, but i love it. perfect just to chill in. exactly what i need! i got shelving(sp?) up on the walls as of yesterday and it looks tight.

second, the MN state AG snow camp was pretty cool. i loved playing w/ the people i did...and i really felt in my element. God did some amazing things, i'm sure in students lives, but mine also. i hope to do more things like that in the future.

third, i work at a flower shop...and it was just valentine's day! you can put two to two together, but it wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be...by bad, i mean, busy. just worked a lot of hours in a 3 day period. i really did have fun at it. i'm really enjoying my job there. it's just a great atmosphere to be in.

fourth, i'm still in the most amazing relationship i've ever been in. this dude blows my mind! there really aren't words. he is such an amazing person through and through, and i'm pretty much the luckiest chic in the world to be with him. he has helped me so much in the last few months i can't really put into words all the support he has given me...and in all the crazy times he has stuck through w/ me.

fifth, i got to go see one my top three musicians...if not my favorite, the day before valentine's, mr. john mayer. it pretty much rocked my socks off. i'm not going to lie to you about it. i love johnny.

i'm still doing church stuff. week to week. so anyways....besides the day to day stuff...i've been ok. thinking about a lot, keeping busy, and really enjoying the days when i can just chill.

i will be putting pics up. of john mayer concert and apparently i said i would put pics up of my birthday night in the limo, but forgot so i'll put those up too...whenever i get a chance. thanks for being faithful to my blog...whoever you are.

tonight was amazing! i really don't know what to say to describe how special i felt. well first my boyfriend told me to be ready at 6:45, so i was...then he said to come outside in the front of the house...(i live on a fairly busy road) so i walk out to see a "FREAKIN" limo. (pics to follow) but before that...he gave me 3 roses. one red...for love, and 2 for our friendship. it was tight. then i got in the limo....i've never been in one before, it was awesome, we got to chill in it for a while around town. good convo. then we got dropped off at Victoria's downtown. we ate and he paid. seriously it was one of the most special days of my life. i'll never forget it. it just doesn't seem real that someone truly and deeply cares for me in this way.... (i know others care for me too,)...but on this level...it's a good feeling. i've had other boyfriends/"good friends" but none like mike. he really sees something in me, underneath all my many flaws. he will do anything he can to let me know how much he cares about me (hence the limo). i am honestly so lucky to have him in my life, first as my amazing friend and second as my amazing boyfriend. , i really dont' know what else to say......

so apparently it's my birthday tomorrow....totally forgot. i got a present in the mail yesterday, it was nice. and mike has something planned all out, but i have no idea what it is...i'm excited tho.

news....i am dating!!!! yes, it's true...it's something i thought i never wanted to do again after my last relationship. but some amazing dude came along and swept me off my feet...hehe. i'm so happy, it's been a process up to this point and still is, but we've made it this far and i'm smiling. not to sound cliche, but mr. mike bartlett is nothing like any other relationship i've been in, i don't know, he's just amazing. ask me for more details if you want...that's the update-(sarah)

next tueday mike and i are going to good ole Stevens Point to hang out for a bit.

so, i'm really excited about this coming February. Mark Dean (head youth guy for the state of MN) asked me to head up the music for the MN Winter Camp at Lake Geneva. i'm stoked. it's going to rock. i got some guys up at North Central helping me out w/ the tasty licks on the guitars and bass.... as well as michael bartlett on drums and liz on the keys. i'm so excited, this will be awesome. hopefully, more will come after this one...i would love to do more camps/conventions/retreats...and such. i once had a pretty hard core dream/passion to travel and do this kind of stuff...and i kind of lost hope w/ that. so this will be so good. and this is pretty much the only reason i'm looking forward to winter. :(

anyways....in other things...not much. still doin life. God, flowers, and coffee.
